A central concern within the framework of the Profilregion is to establish a stronger network between science and industry to enable the exchange of knowledge and experience, to maximize synergy potentials, and to generate added values for both sides. There are various ways for companies to get involved with the Profilregion. The first possibility would be to actively participate in the Dissemination Academy. By submitting a letter of intent, companies with interest can integrate themselves as partners, allowing them to participate in the Academy's future events and to gain access to the latest research results.

Furthermore, it is also possible for companies to integrate directly into one of the seven initialization projects in order to actively supervise as well as contribute to the research work.
